Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of people who come together to solve their drinking problem. It doesn’t cost anything to attend A.A. meetings. There are no age or education requirements to participate. Membership is open to anyone who wants to do something about their drinking problem.
The Center for Internet Addiction was founded by Dr. Kimberly Young in 1995. It provides treatment for Internet addiction using CBT-IA©, Young's specialized Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy for Internet addiction and is the first evidenced-based Digital Detox™ recovery program.
The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) is the agency within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services that leads public health efforts to advance the behavioral health of the nation. SAMHSA's mission is to reduce the impact of substance abuse and mental illness on America's communities.
The Web of Addictions is dedicated to providing accurate information about alcohol and other drug addictions. The Web of Addictions was developed for several reasons. We are concerned about the pro drug use messages in some Web sites and in some use groups. We are concerned about the appalling extent of misinformation about abused drugs on the internet, particularly on some usenet newsgroups.
